Resolutions, a Fun Resource for Moms and a Giveaway

The moms at burbmom.net are talking about their New Years' resolutions. Not only do they want to inspire you to resolve to reach specific goals in 2009, they also want to give away free stuff. Yay :)

Here's a peek into my resolutions for 2009:

"Sodas are for the cinema." : Matt & I are "resolving" this one together...it's amazing how many calories are in a stinkin' soda. Because of this, we're saving the sodas as a special treat at the movies...and only at the movies. I have a feeling we're going to see a record amount of films this year :)

"Write it on my heart.": I used to kick proverbial butt in Scripture memory as a kid. I had all kinds of stickers by my name in Sunday school. Things started to change as I surpassed sixth grade. I could remember lyrics to all kinds of songs but couldn't get Scriptures to stick. Hmm. That is starting to change...beginning with Colossians 3:12 - 19.

"From cover to cover.": This will truly be the first year I commit to read through the Bible in a year. I have never done it. I'm trying to set myself up for success. Instead of buying the book, I've opted to bookmark this website so that when I open my iBook to check my email, bloglines, etc. it will be the first link my cursor clicks.

"Divide and organize." : In short, de-clutter my home. Divide the "keepers" from the trash. Organize the keepers in such a way that they're attractively accessible.

That's it! Don't forget to visit burbmom.net to enter their Giveaway. Good luck!

i love how your resolutions are so catchy and concise.

what a good idea to bookmark your homepage to bible gateway. a good reminder (for myself anyway), to prioritize the important reading of the day before anything else i might get carried away with on the computer.
