300 Days.

Exactly 300 days ago, life as we knew it was forever changed.

300 days ago, I wasn't sure how many more days I would have with my husband.

300 days ago, I wasn't sure of the quality of those remaining days.

300 days later, my healthy, whole husband and I are boarding a plane for the other side of the world.

300 days later, we are preparing our hearts to refresh the saints and shine the light of the gospel in Sudan.

300 days ago, God was good and did good.

300 days later, God is good and does good.

May He be forever praised!

What an amazing poem - I haven't seen you since Freshman year of college but you and Matt continue to bless my life - especially more recently as a loved one has melanoma - thank you for your testimony and ministry - God is so good.

That really is wonderful news! And I humbly ask a question: Is God still good if things turned out differently 300 days later?

I am so excited that you guys have reached an important milestone! My husband was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006 and we are now 3.5 yrs cancer-free! It is amazing to look back, see where you were, and know where God is taking you. Have fun in Sudan!

Hello Lauren, I just wanted to say thank you for how you are choosing to trust and learn from God so much during this difficult time in your life.

I say thank you because from your pictures to your vlogs i see Gods grace and mercy in your countenance and its so sweet to see Him there... it gives me hope he can do the same in me.

I'm so happy you look like your fully enjoying Him even in your 'valley'... thanks again Mrs. Chandler.

It hasn't been 300 days, but only 2days ago that my husband and father of 3 grown girls was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. His name is Richard Hayes and as I sit here writing this to you, I am scared to death that I don't know how much longer I will have with my husband or our daughters with their father. I'm scared of the treatments, I'm scared that he will be sick and fragile and he will suffer greatly, I'm afraid that our finances will be ruined and I guess I'm just scared to even breatht. I wish I felt as strong as everyone thinks I am, but I don't right now. I know God is in control but I feel so out of control. I am inspired by your posts and the courage that you have displayed. I only hope that I can be too. Safe travels to your family.

God is so good. Just think of all the little things He does for us that we don't even notice at all? How worthy He is of our praise.

I heard your husband speak at the advance 09 conference. I was about to give up on ministry. God used his sermon to lift my heart. 300 days ago God used his response to this trial to change my heart in such a way that my ministry has never been the same. I love listening to your husband preach because God works a miracle on my heart every time I do. Tell him a youth pastor from Greenville, SC says ,"thank you for loving and trusting God the way you do. It"s epic!"
