The Big K

And I don't mean the super K-Mart.

Audrey will be entering Kindergarten this Tuesday. We had her orientation this past week and "meet the teacher" yesterday.

I just can't believe it.

Yes, I'm excited. She is going to have so much fun. She is the epitome of a people person. Even as a baby, she was never content sitting on the floor playing with a toy by herself. She wanted human interaction. Still today she begs for friends to come over or to invite herself over to our neighbor's house (they have a sweet 8-year-old daughter and a pool...heaven for Audrey). It doesn't matter if she just came from a birthday party with all of her friends. She wants non-stop interpersonal communication and relation.

Enter, Kindergarten.

For 2 days a week, she will have all the human interaction she can stand. And, she'll have a place to legitimately set up science experiments (if you've listened to my husband's recent sermons, you know what I'm talking about) and have more answers to her why's, how's, who's and what's.

I'll be posting pictures of her first day of school soon. I'm sure going to miss that girl on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

we laughed so hard last weekend when matt described her recent "science experiment"...still laughing actually! did it come out of the carpet?

2 days of kindergarten sounds perfect! better than 5 days anyway. my lily is like that in needing the personal interaction all the time...it can wear a mama out!

i saw y'all leaving AKs thursday morning and should have stopped to introduce myself...i was yapping on my cell phone in the van that matt practically had to crawl over to get to y'all's vehichle!

can't wait to hear more about the big K.

How exciting for her. You will have fun too on MWF when you get to teach her.

I am sure happy for you guys that she has somewhere to do her science experiments...although I couldn't help but laugh when Matt shared that at church.

Will be praying for the transition! And for your poor carpet! That was sooooo funny though. Probably not as funny at the time!

My kids loved entering into The Big K. It was a transition for sure but a good one. I really like the two days a week thing. My kiddos had to go every day for full days.
