Bobby Pins and Such

Tomorrow I will have loads of blogworthy bits but since I'm confined to our living room couch thanks to a pesky bug, I'm compelled to blog about not-so-blogworthy bits.

As I was removing clothes from our washer and placing them in the dryer (sidenote: my mom taught me to shake out the clothes before putting them in the dryer to reduce wrinkles in the final product...does everyone do this?), I found a bobby pin sitting at the bottom of the wash basin. The thought hit me: I am obsessed with bobby pins. I wear them almost every day. They're great, really. I can use them to dress my hair up, dress it down, keep it out of my face for working out or try some creative hair assembly. Yay for bobby pins.

That got me thinking to other things with which I am obsessed:

Diet Dr. Pepper (used to be Dr. Pepper but I'm closer to 30 and can't just eat and drink whatever I want whenever I want)

Bloglines (thanks to Lindsey Brittain)

The Olympics

I think the new no slip bobby pins are my current obsession- my hair loves them, I love them- I guess I could admit that I buy a new pack at least every two months...because something happens to them that I can't quite figure out, they disappear, get stretched out, something! rendering them inaccessible or unusable...I do go on something I call bobby pin hunts when I get really desperate and can't find any...and I get a little excited when I find a stash of them!

we are the same person...well minus the bejing olympics. without bobby pins my bangs would rule over me and with out Diet DP my taste buds would revolt.

I am glad I'm not alone in the clothes shaking out thing. I've always done that. :)

I wish I could pull off the bobby pin look. I've tried it, but always end up feeling like an overgrown cheerleader. Sigh...

I am so obsessed with all those things! Especially bobby pins. They might be one of the greatest inventions ever. Do people that have short hair use them as much as those that have long hair. Please tell me about shaking out clothes...it's hard enough for me to finish the transition from the washer to the dryer, I get bored! It really helps? Who knew!

Hope you are feeling better!

Haha, your mom taught Adam and me that laundry trick when we were in college! Thank goodness! I shake a lot of guitar picks out of that man's pants! THANK YOU LINDA! :)
