Please Keep Praying for Matt

I talked to my brother-in-law this morning (late evening for them) and they are planning to take Matt to an English doctor in the morning. His symptoms have gotten worse. If the English doctor doesn't have any answers for them, they will take him to an international hospital in a larger city.

I wish I was bearing better news. All I know is God is good. He has a plan in all this. I am "perplexed but not driven to despair." I will yet hope in my God.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

2 Corinthians 4:7 - 11

I also wanted to write you this verse that I found:

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are those who wait for him. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.

Isaiah 30:18-19

Wow, I hate to hear that Matt's not better. How very difficult it must be for him to be ill in a foreign country. I am glad he's not alone.

Continuing to pray for Matt as well as for you and the kids.

I am definitely praying for healing for Matt, but also have been praying for you while he is away and will continue to do that as I am sure it's tough for you to just be waiting for updates!
